Police in Newark are reporting the arrest of Mr. Tawan Hatten, 27, of Newark who was charged with weapon and drug offenses on December 11, 2020.
Police said Hatten was arrested and charged with possession of a weapon, possession of a large capacity magazine, possession of marijuana, a controlled dangerous substance he had with the intent to distribute within 1,000 of a school.
These charges are merely allegations.
The suspect is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
