Plainfield police are investigating a shots-fired incident that resulted in property damage late Thursday night in a residential area near Green Brook Park.

According to authorities, officers were called to the 1300 block of Myrtle Avenue around 11 p.m. after receiving reports of gunfire.
When police arrived on the scene, they discovered a vehicle that had sustained multiple bullet holes.
A subsequent search of the area led officers to recover several shell casings. Fortunately, no injuries were reported.
The suspect fled the scene before police arrived, and no arrests have been made.
The motive behind the shooting remains under active investigation.
