Plainfield Man Charged in Middlesex County Shooting

​Middlesex County authorities announced today that a Plainfield man was arrested and charged in connection with a South River shooting on October 21st.

According to police, on Sunday, October 24th, Mr. Bryant King, 26, of Plainfield was charged with one count of second-degree Unlawful Possession of a Weapon for an Unlawful Purpose and one count of second-degree Possession of a Handgun without a Permit.

Police say they charged King following an investigation by Patrolman Bernard Mackiel of the South River Police Department and Detective Mark Morris of the Middlesex County Prosecutor’s Office, which identified Bryant as one of the shooters involved in a non-fatal shooting near the Kilimanjaro Bar & Grille, located on Old Bridge Turnpike.

King is being held at the Middlesex County Adult Corrections Center, pending a Detention Hearing in Superior Court.
