Middlesex County officials announced today that a city man has been charged in connection with the fatal shooting of Jonathan Molina, 22, of Perth Amboy.
According to county officials, yesterday, February 15, Christopher Hernandez Velasquez, 21, of Perth Amboy, was arrested and charged with murder, possession of a handgun for an unlawful purpose, hindering the apprehension of himself, along with various other charges.
Officials said that Christopher Hernandez Velasquez presently is lodged at the Middlesex County Adult Correction Center pending a pre-trial detention hearing in Superior Court.

As is the case with all criminal defendants, the charges against Christopher Hernandez Velasquez are merely accusations, and they are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
