Perth Amboy Man Accused of Threatening City Police on Social Media

Middlesex County Prosecutor Andrew C. Carey and Deputy Chief Lawrence Cattano of the Perth Amboy Police Department announced the arrest of a 30-year-old city man who was arrested and charged today with cyber harassment after posting a threat on social media against the police department.

Rolando Medina, 30, was charged after he posted a threat to destroy the Perth Amboy police headquarters on social media. His bail was set at $2,500.

Medina must also undergo a psychiatric evaluation before he can be released on bail.

The investigation into the threat is active and continuing.
