Authorities in Passaic County are searching for a suspect involved in a Monday night shooting that left a man wounded inside a Paterson building.

Shortly before 8:30 p.m., Paterson police were called to 345 Fair Street after receiving reports of a person bleeding on the third floor.
When officers and EMS crews arrived, they found a male victim suffering from a gunshot wound.
The man was transported to St. Joseph’s University Medical Center, where he is reportedly in stable condition.
Investigators say the suspect fled the scene before police arrived. As of early Tuesday morning, no arrests had been made, and the motive behind the shooting remains under investigation.

The Passaic County Prosecutor’s Office is urging anyone with information to come forward.
