Authorities in Passaic County are investigating a shooting that left one person with life-threatening injuries early Saturday morning in a Paterson neighborhood.
According to officials, the incident occurred around 3:35 a.m. near the intersection of 42nd Street and 19th Avenue.
Paterson police arrived at the scene and discovered an unidentified individual suffering from severe gunshot wounds.
The victim was transported to a nearby hospital for emergency treatment.
The Passaic County Prosecutor’s Office has been notified and is actively investigating the circumstances surrounding the shooting.
The motive remains unclear, and no additional details have been released at this time.
The investigation is ongoing.
