Pedestrians Struck, Seriously Injured by Hit-and-Run Car in Linden


The Union County Crash Investigation Unit was called to the scene to assist in an investigation that had two people struck by a car on a street in Linden during the overnight hours.

According to a brief statement released by Linden Police officials, officers responded to the 1200 block of East Linden Avenue -near the Cheeques Gentlemen's Club- after receiving reports of multiple pedestrians struck by a car at approximately just before 3 a.m.

Police and EMS arrived and found at least two people who were struck by a car with one of the victims severely injured according to reports.

Police say both victims were transported to the hospital where doctors began treatment.

At this time, The Linden Police Department will handle the investigation and the driver of the vehicle remains at-large.
