Investigators from the Passaic County Prosecutor's Office were called to the scene of a pedestrian strike that left the victim critically injured in Passaic on Wednesday night.
According to reports, police were called to the vicinity of 821 McBride to investigate an injured person at that location.
Police and EMS arrived at the scene found the victim suffering severe injuries after a car struck them just before 9:15 p.m. according to reports.
The unidentified victim was transported to St. Joseph's Hospital for treatment while authorities stayed at the scene investigating.
Police say the incident remains under investigation.
