Pedestrian Suffers Life-Threatening Injuries in Early-Morning Westampton Crash

Authorities in Burlington County are investigating a serious early-morning crash that left a pedestrian critically injured and shut down a major roadway for several hours Saturday, officials said.

According to preliminary information, the incident occurred around 12:10 a.m. in the 1900 block of Burlington-Mount Holly Road. 

Emergency responders arrived to find a person lying in the roadway, unconscious and unresponsive, after being struck by a vehicle.

First responders immediately began performing CPR before transporting the victim to a nearby hospital for emergency treatment. 

The individual’s condition was described as life-threatening as of early Saturday morning.

Police closed a section of Burlington-Mount Holly Road for an extended period while investigators examined the scene. 

The cause of the crash remains under active investigation by Burlington County authorities.
