Rahway Police are investigating the cause of a crash that injured a pedestrian on a busy roadway Saturday evening.
It happened around 5 p.m. on Route 1&9 near Milton Avenue.
According to authorities, emergency responders found the victim lying in the roadway suffering severe injuries.
The victim was taken to a trauma center while police closed a portion of Route 1&9 northbound lanes just south of Milton Avenue for the investigation.
No other injuries were reported.
