A medivac helicopter was called to a location in Rahway to transport a victim who suffered severe injuries after being struck by a vehicle Thursday night.
According to preliminary reports, police were called to the Madison and West Lake avenues just before 7:30 p.m. after receiving reports of an injured person.
Upon arrival, they requested EMS to the scene for an unidentified person struck by a vehicle.
The medivac helicopter received the patient at Merck's heliport according to reports.
The extent of the victim's injury has not been released at this time.
