Police in Newark's Central Ward are investigating a pedestrian strike that injured a person Sunday night.
At approximately 10 p.m., emergency responders were dispatched to the intersection of Springfield Avenue and Martin Luther King Boulevard to investigate reports of a pedestrian struck by a vehicle.
Upon arrival, police found the victim suffering a head injury after being struck by a car.
The victim was transported to an area hospital for treatment and is stable.
No other injuries were reported.
