Police are investigating the cause of a pedestrian strike that sent a person to the hospital in Westfield on Wednesday night.
According to police, the unidentified person was struck by a car in the area of South Avenue West and Boulevard just before 10:20 p.m.
Police arrived and found the seriously injured victim then notified EMS.
The driver of the car reportedly stayed at the scene while police investigated.
No other injuries were reported.
