A pedestrian was taken to the hospital after being struck by a vehicle in Elizabeth early Saturday morning, officials said.
Officers responding to a report of a crash involving a pedestrian in the area of Jefferson Avenue and Dickinson Street around 1:40 a.m. found an injured male in the roadway, officials said.
The victim was transported to an area hospital suffering a head injury, according to police.
Elizabeth authorities are looking into the cause of the incident.
