A pedestrian is in the hospital with severe injuries after being hit by a vehicle on Friday.
According to preliminary reports, police responded to the 600 block of North Broad Street sometime around 6 p.m. for a report of a pedestrian struck by a car.
Upon arrival, officers found the seriously injured victim who was rushed to University Hospital in Newark for treatment.
The incident is in the preliminary phases of the investigation at this time.
The driver reportedly stayed at the scene.
