An early morning incident where a pedestrian was struck by a vehicle on the Garden State Parkway in Bloomfield has police investigating.
Emergency responders were called to the southbound lanes of the highway near the Brookdale Service near mile marker 152.3 at around 2 a.m.
Crews found the victim suffering serious injuries upon their arrival to the scene.
The unidentified victim was transported to the hospital where the extent of their injuries has not been made available.
The New Jersey State Police is handling the investigation.
