Pedestrian Struck on Route 29 in Trenton; Investigation Closes Southbound Lanes

Emergency crews responded to a serious pedestrian strike on Route 29 near Market Street in Trenton late Sunday night.

Police say the crash was reported shortly before 10:35 p.m. on the southbound side of Route 29. 

One victim was transported from the scene by EMS, though the extent of the person’s injuries was not immediately available.
 

Authorities subsequently shut down all southbound lanes of Route 29 while investigators examined the scene. 

By approximately 11:45 p.m., two of the three southbound lanes remained closed as the investigation continued.
 

No additional information regarding the victim’s condition or the circumstances leading up to the collision was immediately released.


 

The incident remains under active investigation.
