One person suffered severe injuries on Monday morning in a pedestrian hit-and-run incident in North Arlington.
Emergency responders rushed to the intersection of Keany Avenue and Belleville Turnpike to investigate reports of an injured person shortly before 8:55 a.m.
Police found the victim suffering severe injuries after a vehicle struck the pedestrian and fled toward Kearny.
The vehicle is white and may have some front-end damage from the incident.
Police are continuing to investigate the incident and search for the driver.
