Pedestrian Struck by Hit-and-Run Driver in Linden


Police in Linden are on the search for the driver who fled the scene after striking a woman on a street in the city on Monday night.

According to a statement released by Linden police, the incident happened at approximately 7 p.m. in the 900 block of Chandler Avenue.

Police say a car struck a 38-year-old while she was crossing the street.

According to o police, the woman was taken to Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in Rahway with non-life-threatening injuries.

Police say the driver sped away from the scene on Chandler Avenue and may have caused damaged to two other vehicles.

There is no description of the vehicle available at this time.
