Police in Rahway are investigating a pedestrian strike that injured a person in the city on Thursday night.
According to preliminary reports, police were called to the vicinity of 1190 Briarcliff Drive to investigate reports of a person injured just before 8:55 p.m.
Upon arrival, they found the unidentified victim suffering injuries after a car struck them in a driveway at that location.
The victim was transported to University Hospital in Newark for treatment of serious injuries.
The incident remains under investigation.
