EMS transported a person to the hospital after a vehicle struck them on the border of Newark and East Orange Wednesday night.
It happened at approximately 11:45 p.m. in the 800 block of South Orange Avenue -near Arsdale Terrace- where police were called to the scene to investigate an injured person.
Upon their arrival at the scene, they found the victim suffering serious injuries after a car struck them at that location.
East Orange authorities are investigating the cause of the accident.
There were no arrests immediately reported.
