Pedestrian Struck by Car in Downtown Newark

Police in Newark are investigating a pedestrian strike that injured a person in the city's downtown on Tuesday night.

According to reports, the pedestrian was crossing the intersection of Raymond Boulevard and Mulberry Street when a vehicle struck the unidentified person just before 9:40 p.m.

Police say EMS treated the alert and conscious victim for non-life threatening injuries.

The driver of the car reportedly stayed at the scene.
