Authorities are investigating a predawn shooting that occurred in the city early Sunday, though no injuries were reported.
According to a statement released by the Passaic County Prosecutor’s Office, officers from the Passaic Police Department were dispatched to the area of Aspen Place and State Street at approximately 1:50 a.m. on August 10, 2025, after receiving reports of gunfire.
When officers arrived, they identified a potential crime scene but found no victims.
Investigators continue to gather evidence, and officials say the case remains active and ongoing.
