An overnight shooting that injured one person in Paterson has authorities investigating.
Reports of shots fired sent police the 700 block of East 18th Street shortly before 1 a.m. where arriving officers located a male victim suffering injuries after being shot.
The victim was transported to St. Joseph's Regional Medical Center suffering a gunshot wound to the chest according to reports.
The victim was listed in serious but stable condition.
The motive for the shooting is under investigation.
There were no arrests reported.
