A man reportedly found shot in the neck in Paterson has police searching for a suspect.
Gunfire rang out in the 800 block of Main Street shortly before 3 a.m. rushing police and EMS to the scene where they found a 37-year-old city man suffering multiple gunshot wounds at that location.
The victim was transported to St. Josephs Hospital where he was reported to be in critical but stable condition.
Police began an immediate search for a black male who was last seen wearing a black or dark colored hoodie and a dark colored baseball cap.
The suspect reportedly fled on Bloomfield Avenue after the shooting.
A crime scene was established in the area where officers collected several pieces of evidence.
The Paterson Police Department are investigating.
