Police in Paterson are reporting non-life threatening injuries for the victim of a shooting that occurred in the city Tuesday night.
Reports of shots fire sent police to the 200 block of Summer Street just before 8:25 p.m. where officers arrived to find one person struck by gunfire at that location.
EMS transported the victim to St. Josephs Medical Center where doctors treated the injury according to authorities.
According to preliminary reports, a 6'2", 240-pound black male suspect approached the victim and fired a shot, striking the victim.
The victim reportedly wore a mask, tan hoodie, and dark pants.
The investigation remains active and ongoing.
