Paterson Shooting Leaves One Injured

Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes and Paterson Police Chief Troy Oswald announced that at approximately 12:45, a.m. Saturday, members of the Paterson Police Department responded to the area of Park Avenue ion a report of shots fired.

Authorities say upon arrival, police located a possible crime scene, but were unable to locate a victim.

A short time later, police say they were notified that a 31-year-old male Paterson resident arrived at Saint Joseph’s Regional Medical Center in Paterson for treatment of a non-fatal gunshot wound.

Based on the initial investigation, the victim was in the area of Park Avenue and East 22nd Street when the shooting took place according to police.

The investigation remains active and ongoing.
