There were non-life threatening injuries reported for the victim of a shooting that occurred in a Paterson neighborhood during the overnight hours.
According to police, they responded to reports of shots fired that rang out in the vicinity of 192 12th Avenue at around 11:20 p.m. sending police to the scene where they found a male victim suffering a gunshot wound on the basketball court.
Officials say EMS rushed the victim to St. Joseph's Hospital where doctors treated the victim's gunshot wound to the hip.
Police have not released a motive for the shooting and there were no other injuries reported.
