Paterson Police Investigating Shooting that Sent One Person to the Hospital

Passaic County officials announce that at approximately 6:09 p.m. on November 1, members of the Paterson Police Department were dispatched to the area of North 9th Street and Belmont Avenue in Paterson on a report of shots fired. 

Upon arrival, police located a potential crime scene, but no victim was located.

According to county officials, a short time later, members of the Paterson Police Department were notified that a 20-year-old male Paterson resident had arrived at Saint Joseph’s University Medical Center in Wayne via private vehicle seeking treatment for a non-fatal gunshot wound. 

The victim was subsequently transferred to Saint Joseph’s University Medical Center in Paterson.

The investigation remains active and ongoing. More information will be released once it becomes available.
