A shooting that occurred overnight in Paterson has police searching for suspects responsible for the incident.
police responded to reports of shots fired that rang out in the vicinity of East 21st Street and 17th Avenue at around midnight where they arrived on the scene to find evidence that a shooting occurred but a search of the area had no victims found.
Several shell casings were recovered at the scene according to a preliminary investigation.
The motive for the shooting remains under investigation.
