Paterson Police Investigates Overnight Shooting; Multiple Rounds Fired

Police in Paterson are investigating a shooting that occurred at a local restaurant on Saturday night.

According to preliminary reports from police, a ShotSpotter activation alerted police of multiple rounds of gunfire that rang out in the vicinity of 45 North Main Street just before midnight.

Officers arrived at the scene and found about ten shell casings and blood inside the Mom's Fried Chicken according to police.

Police officers canvassed the area for victims but ere unsuccessful in finding any during their search.

Passaic County official said two victims - an 18-year-old and 20-year-old, both males, entered St. Joseph's Hospital suffering gunshot wounds received their injuries at the North Maon Street location.

The investigation remains active and ongoing.
