Paterson Police officials are investigating a shooting that injured a person overnight in the city.
Police responded to reports of shots fired that rang out in the area of East 26th Street and 10th Avenue at approximately 3:30 a.m. where officers arrived at the scene and found the victim struck by bullets at that location.
EMS rushed the victim to St. Joseph's Regional Medical Center where doctors began treating their injuries.
Police officers canvassed the area for at least one additional victim, but as of 4 a.m., no one else was located according to reports.
The motive for the shooting remains under investigation. The shooter remains at-large.
