Paterson Drive-By Shooting Injures 20-Year-Old Man

Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes and Paterson Police Chief Troy Oswald announced that at approximately 1:38, a.m. Sunday morning members of the Paterson Police Department responded to the area of Cianci Street between Ellison and VanHouton streets on a report of a person shot.

Upon arrival, police located a 20-year-old male Paterson resident suffering a non-fatal gunshot wound.

Police say the victim was immediately transported to Saint Joseph’s Regional Medical Center in Paterson for treatment.

According to police based on the initial investigation, the victim was in the area of Cianci Street between Ellison Street and VanHouten Street when he sustained a non-fatal gunshot wound from shots fired by a passing vehicle.

The investigation remains active and ongoing.
