A shooting inside Montgomery Park in Paterson is under investigation.
According to authorities at approximately 6:18, p.m. on Mar. 15th, members of the Paterson Police Department responded to the area of Lawrence and Mercer Street for a report of shots fired.
Upon arrival, officers found a 19-year-old Paterson man in the area of Fulton Street, who sustained a non-fatal gunshot wound.
The victim was immediately transported to the Saint Joseph’s Regional Medical Center in Paterson for treatment.
Based on the initial investigation it is believed the shooting occurred inside Montgomery Park, located on Rosa Parks Boulevard and Montgomery Street.
The investigation remains active and ongoing.
