Passaic County authorities are looking into the motive for a shooting that injured one person in Passaic early Friday morning.
According to police, gunfire erupted in the vicinity of Wall and Passaic streets at approximately 2:30 a.m.
Police say, officers arrived at the scene and found an unidentified person suffering gunshot injuries at that location. EMS transported the victim to St. Josephs Hospital for treatment.
Detectives also recovered shell casings in the 100 block of 6th Street, but no victims were found at that scene.
The investigation remains active and ongoing.
