Passaic Men Plead Guilty to Aggravated Assault in Connection with 2019 Paterson Shooting

Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes announces the entry of guilty pleas in the matter of State of New Jersey v. Albert Robinson and Darnell Reeves.

According to Prosecutor Valdes, on August 23, 2019, members of the Passaic Police Department responded to the area of Wall Street in Passaic on a report of a shooting. 

Upon arrival, members of the Passaic Police Department located evidence of a crime scene as well as a 34-year-old male Paterson resident who sustained a non-fatal gunshot wound. 

Prosecutor Valdes stated that the victim was immediately transported to St. Joseph’s Regional Medical Center in Paterson for treatment. 

In addition, a 30-year-old male Paterson resident was shot at but not injured. 

Based on the investigation, Albert Robinson and Darnell Reeves were later charged.

According to Prosecutor Valdes, on August 15, Mr. Robinson and Mr. Reeves each pleaded guilty to Aggravated Assault.

Sentencing is scheduled for October 14, 2022.
