Passaic Man Hospitalized Following Early Morning Shooting

Authorities are investigating an early morning shooting that left a 24-year-old city resident with non-life-threatening injuries, according to information released by Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes and Passaic Police Chief Luis A. Guzman.

 

Officials said that at approximately 5:13 a.m. on September 1, 2025, members of the Passaic Police Department were dispatched to St. Joseph’s University Medical Center in Paterson after a man arrived seeking treatment for gunshot wounds.

 

Police later identified the victim as a 24-year-old male from Passaic.

Investigators located a potential crime scene in the area of Dayton Avenue and President Street, though the exact circumstances of the shooting remain under review.

 

The investigation is described as active and ongoing, and no further details have been released at this time.
