Passaic County authorities announced the arrest of Oscar Fuentes-Sierra, 44 years old, from Passaic for Kidnapping, Assault and Endangering the Wellfare of Child.
According to officials, Mr. Fuentes- Sierra was arrested without incident on January 17, after an investigation conducted by the Passaic County Prosecutor’s Office Special Victims Unit.
Officials say Mr. Fuentes-Sierra is charged with two counts of first degree Aggravated Sexual Assault, one count of first degree Kidnapping, one count of second degree Sexual Assault, and one count of third degree Endangering the Welfare of a Child.
It is alleged that on one occasion between January 2021 and February 2021, Mr. Fuentes-Sierra confined and sexually assaulted a five-year-old girl in his car while the vehicle was parked in Passaic.
According to authorities, it is alleged that Mr. Fuentes-Sierra was acquainted with the child.
If convicted, Mr. Fuentes-Sierra would be to subject Megan’s Law registration requirements and Parole Supervision for Life.
The State has filed a motion for pre-trial detention.
