A partial power outage at the American Dream Mall on Monday afternoon prompted the evacuation of several amusement park rides, with emergency crews responding to assist guests.

According to officials, power was lost to multiple rides shortly after 3:30 p.m. Firefighters and EMS personnel responded to help safely remove riders, while at least one person was evaluated after experiencing difficulty breathing.
An American Dream spokesperson also confirmed that the outage affected only portions of the complex.
“Due to a localized power outage, some areas of the center are currently without power. All guests were safely evacuated from park rides.”
No serious injuries were immediately reported, and it was not clear what caused the outage.
The extent of the power disruption and when full service was restored were not immediately announced.
The incident remains under review.
