Parkway Drivers Witness Early Morning Fire That Destroyed Bloomfield Home

Drivers on the Garden State Parkway in Essex County witnessed intense flames ripping through a home in Bloomfield early Tuesday morning.

According to fire officials, the blaze broke out around 1:05 a.m. on Woodland Avenue. When emergency crews arrived, they found the structure fully engulfed in flames.

Firefighters quickly stretched multiple lines and entered the burning home to search for any trapped or injured occupants.

Despite the intense fire conditions, crews were able to bring the blaze under control in less than an hour. No injuries were immediately reported.

The cause of the fire has not yet been determined, and officials are continuing their investigation.

As of 4:30 a.m., the American Red Cross had not released information on the number of residents displaced. 

An update is expected later today.
