Bergen County authorities are investigating the circumstances behind a shooting that injured a person at a location in Park Ridge early Tuesday morning.
According to preliminary reports, police were called to teens block of Grobel Place at approximately 3 a.m. after they received reports of shots fired at that location.
Upon arrival, they found a severely injured unidentified person suffering a gunshot wound at that location.
Police are attempting to determine if the victim's injuries were self-inflicted or caused by an assailant who fled the scene.
The victim's injuries could only be confirmed as 'life-threatening' as of 4 a.m.
The investigation is active and ongoing.
