PA Man Charged With Money Laundering in Bergen County

Authorities in Bergen County announced the arrest of Shengjin Wu, 31, of Willow Grove, PA, on a charge of money laundering.

Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella reported that the arrest is the result of an investigation conducted by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office under the direction of Chief Jason Love.

Authorities say on September 7, during a narcotics investigation, detectives from the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Narcotic Task Force conducted a traffic stop of a vehicle as it traveled through Bergen County.

The investigation revealed that the driver, Shengjin Wu, was transporting $8,000 in cash, officials said, which was believed to be the proceeds of a narcotics transaction.

As a result of the investigation, Shengjin Wu was arrested at the scene and charged with third-degree money laundering, officials say

According to officials, Wu was released on a summons pending his first appearance in Central Judicial Processing Court in Hackensack, NJ.
