Newark Police are looking into a shooting that occurred near a housing complex in the city overnight.
Reports of shots fired sent police to the vicinity of Market Street and Littleton Avenue at around 10:30 p.m. where first arriving officers found evidence that a shooting occurred at that location.
EMS were called to the scene after police found a woman suffering a non-life threatening foot injury due to a graze according to reports.
Police set up a crime scene where they searched for additional evidence to assist in understanding a motive for the shooting.
There were no arrests reported.
