Police in Newark are investigating a shooting that left a teenage boy seriously injured overnight.
Authorities rushed to the single digit block of Ridgewood Ave. shortly before 12:30 a.m. after receiving reports of shots fired where they found the boy suffering a gunshot wound to the leg. EMS rushed the victim to University Hospital where he was said to be in serious but stable condition. The boy is around the age of 14.
Police are looking for 4-5 armed black males with dreads were reportedly seen fleeing the area. The incident is being investigated by Newark Police.
