Police are investigating an early morning shooting in Newark that sent one person to the hospital.
Reports of shots fired in the 50's block of Holland Street sent police to the scene at around 2:15 a.m. where a male victim was shot in the back and seriously injured.
EMS transported the victim to University Hospital where the injury was not believed to be life threatening.
There were no arrest made in the shooting.
