Police in Newark are investigating an overnight shooting that left one person injured.
A male victim reportedly walked into University Hospital around midnight suffering a gunshot wound to the foot. The victim reported that he was the victim of an armed robbery in the area of 11th Street and 11th Ave.
Authorities searched the area where they set up a crime scene in the 600 block of South 11th Street.
The man's injuries were not reported to be life threatening.
