Overnight Shooting in Jersey City Injures Three

Jersey City Police are currently investigating an overnight shooting that left several males injured.AdAround midnight, officers were called to the scene at 11 Lexington Avenue following reports of gunfire. Upon arrival, they found evidence of a shooting, including shell casings, but initially, no victims were found at the location.

The situation developed when Jersey City Medical Center informed the police that three victims had presented themselves at the emergency room with gunshot injuries.

Fortunately, as of 4 a.m., the injuries were not deemed life-threatening.

The motive behind the shooting remains unclear, with investigations continuing to develop the events leading up to the incident.

In connection with the shooting, police engaged in a foot pursuit that resulted in the detention of two potential suspects near Marin Boulevard and 10th Street.AdAuthorities are urging anyone with information to come forward as they work to piece together this violent occurrence in the community.
