Overnight Gunshot Victim Enters Paterson Hospital

There were non-life threatening injuries reported for the victim of a shooting that occurred in Paterson during the overnight hours.

According to prelminary reports, officials at St. Joseph's Hospital contacted police when an unidentified person entered the emergency department suffering a gunshot wound just before 3:40 a.m.

The victim reported to police that injury occurred in the vicinity of North Main and Jefferson streets shortly before arriving at the hospital.

Doctors treated the victim's hand injury and expected a full recovery.

Paterson Police are actively investigating who or what caused the injury. There were no arrests reported.
