Orange Man Arrested After Selling Heroin to Undercover Woodbridge Officer

Woodbridge Township Orange

The Woodbridge Police Department announced the arrest of Joseph Warmack, 31, of Orange, accused of selling heroin to an undercover officer Wednesday.

The suspect was arrested at a local hotel in the Avenel section of town when he arrived to sell heroin to an undercover officer. When Warmack showed up at the hotel officers attempted to arrest Warmack and a foot chase ensued, but was taken into custody a short distance away.

Once police found Warmack in possession of marijuana, consent to search the vehicle was requested but denied by the suspect. Due to the suspect’s lack of cooperating with the investigation, a narcotics K9 was called and positively indicated on the vehicle for the presence of a controlled dangerous substance.

Today after a Superior Court Search Warrant for the vehicle was granted, officials seized a total of three hundred and three bags of heroin (approximately six bricks). Also seized during the investigation was the suspect’s 2006 Jeep Grand Cherokee which he allegedly utilized for his drug distribution business.

Warmack was arrested and charged with conspiracy, distribution of CDS (heroin and marijuana), possession of CDS (heroin and marijuana), obstructing the administration of law, driving while suspended.

He is currently housed at Middlesex County Adult Correctional Facility on $70,000.00 bail no 10%.
